DEAL ISLAND, MARYLAND

One of the last bay islands on the East Coast left unblemished and untouched by the sprawl of modernism. Fishing, kayaking, strolling, boating, biking are the order of your lazy days spent here. Deal Island is a six mile long, three mile wide neck of small town living surrounded by the by the Chesapeake Bay. In Somerset County of Maryland’s eastern shore, accessible by car.

WENONA HARBOR

Wenona Harbor is 100 yards from Villa Wenona, where you can launch your boat or kayak, watch the blue crabs, oysters or other fresh catch as the fishermen come in. Have a drink or quick bite at Arby’s General Store, where the locals welcome you with a smile. Or spend your day at the beach!

BEACHES

There are two untouched bay beaches on the island - 7 mins and 10 mins from the Villa along a quiet country road. Say goodbye to traffic jams as you tool around the island. Lovers Beach is accessible during low tide or via kayak anytime. Deal Island Beach has parking right by the sand. Gather sea glass, read a book or fish from your beach chair. 

NEIGHBORING TOWNS & EXCURSIONS 

If you desire more civilization, Chincoteague Island Beach Virginia and Ocean City, MD are an hour and 15 minutes away. We are also about 50 minutes from Crisfield where they have the annual clam and crab bake, crab derby and other events. Some fine dining is available here and in Salisbury, also 50 minutes away.
